Brian and Dylan and I were driving and saw a large mountain lion wirh a black tracking collar, walking on the right side of the road. I was very excited because we've talked about wanting to see a mountain lion. I kept saying "quick quick get a picture!", knowing that it would run away. But it continued to walk along the car at a good pace. Up ahead, we could see a smaller cat. At first I thought it was a different kind but later we discovered it was a cub. We brought that one home and played with it.
Dreams featuring animals, especially powerful ones like a mountain lion, can hold significant symbolic meaning. Here’s a breakdown of the elements of your dream:
Mountain Lion: The mountain lion is often seen as a symbol of courage, personal power, and leadership. It can also represent a part of yourself that is assertive and confident. Seeing it in your dream might indicate that you're tapping into or desire to engage with your own inner strength and instinctual nature.
Black Tracking Collar: The collar may signify an element of control or observation. It could represent societal constraints or the way you or others view your wild or instinctive traits. It might also suggest that while you are drawn to your instincts, there are aspects of your life that are monitored or watched.
Excitement and Urgency: Your eagerness to capture the moment by taking a picture indicates a desire to hold onto powerful experiences. Perhaps you're in a situation where you want to seize opportunities before they slip away, or you want to preserve moments of excitement in your life.
Smaller Cat/Cub: Finding a cub might symbolize a nurturing aspect of yourself or a new venture that feels manageable. It reflects an aspect of growth, playfulness, and protection. You may be exploring new projects, relationships, or ideas that require care and attention yet bring joy.
The Act of Bringing the Cub Home: This could indicate a desire to integrate new feelings or ideas into your life. It suggests a longing for connection, comfort, and the playful side of life.
Overall, your dream may be reflecting a journey towards embracing your personal power while nurturing new experiences or aspects of yourself. The excitement of the mountain lion could represent opportunities for growth and assertiveness you wish to explore further. Consider reflecting on areas in your life where you feel empowered or need to be more so, and how you can nurture new beginnings.
